The Barnes and Noble Nook eReader Joins The Apple iPad at Walmart: "The Kindle 3 is at Target, Staples, and Best Buy. The B&N Nook is already at Best Buy. Barnes and Noble announced their ereader will be sold at Walmart.
On October 21, 2010, Barnes and Noble demonstrated making provisions to engage in a protracted battle in the ongoing ebook reader war of Nook vs. Kindle. The company publicized plans to sell the Nook through 2500 Walmart stores. This means it is time to dust off our memories of the Nook and prepare to renew our relationships with the lovely EPUB ereader that has direct access to Google Books. They are clearly positioning their ebook reader for holiday sales."
